So if you had to choose a one ski quiver? I have a bias owning Blades and Sakanas
One of the only videos of soemone riding the RAD 97s! How'd they compare to the Rossignol Black Ops 98 you road in your other video?
your yard looks fun as heck enjoy the slops and #livetoride
Super!
Good job on video. I have a question. Do you ever ski the Blade Optic 96 on piste in groomed/hard packed/icy conditions? I have 2024 model of this ski and I find it doesn’t like to be going across the fall line in shorter turns to check speed on steeper runs. In such conditions I find it difficult to find sweet spot.
Good vibes right here
Where is this track?
Hi, what do you recommend for pump track? Regular or carver tugboat?
Does the suspension bottom out alot?
Great video, thanks for posting. I ski the Kendo 88 currently, but really want to try these out. I'm looking for a less demanding, fun, easy to turn ski so I can play in the trees with the kids.
whats the song/band name?
Are Catamarans still good?
Good vibes!!!
You sold me on this board .. I have been drawn to the Super Chief/Dipper from the start but was hesitating as the Ripper gets top billing
I love the Sashimi!! It’s one of my favorite boards to ride! Such fun
Dig your channel !!! im 5'9" 235lb .....you have inspired me to start filming too! Cheers fron CDA Idaho/Schweitzer resort
Are those 172 or 180? Thanks.
188cm
Dude...!!
Did you ever get the goods !!
What angles and stance did you run on the squash for carving.
Just a note . I bought this bike and it has a lot of good qualities but it is not a good climber. I am faster climbing on my 90's 26er 4130 steel frame bike. Done a lot of comparing with Strava segments.
172 or 180?
Hi. What do you think about this board for powder preferably?
hey, is this ski good riding switch?
Did you have to change any cables for those bars?
You got every angle didn’t you? 💪🏽Love my Harpoon, that thing Rips! 🏄🏽
Are you riding the 159CM ?
Awesome footage ....what a killer powder day !!!!
Can hear that base structure on the snow !!
Oregon dunes?
Excellent clip. Mind telling me where you have your bindings mounted, and whether you like where they’re at. I’m debating where to mount mine.
You need these at standard line.
Cool looking playground !!
The go pro doesn't do the views justice.
Been thinking about adding the blade to my quiver for groomer days/hardpack/frozen granular snow. You make them look way more versatile than what other people say! Looks like they turn really easy in deeper snow too
They are the most versatile ski in my current quiver. Powder performance surprised me the most. Handles chop like a boss, too. Highly recommend this ski. Blade Optic 96 is also pretty impressive.
Thanks for your review on a powder snow. This review is exactly that I was looking for. I have bataleon surfer and evil twin. I used to ride surfer for now but I was wondering that bataleon snowboard has 3bt technology so even twin board could make it possible on a powder snow. You prove it. I'm 170lbs and my evil twins is 152cm. Regular stance with +15, -9 All I want to know is your set back position Did you set back? Or just using reference stance?
Front foot as far back as possible. Rear foot as far back as you feel comfortable.
There is not enough snow at pk this season
No doubt. Bad year for snow everywhere in B.C.
@@hayhead92 did my ast1 and posted a video of the run down and got hung up on the willows lots lol
@@Mcneds Ha! Been there done that.
Hallo. what is your weight and height? 😊
I am 82 kg and 176cm
240 lbs/109 kg, 5' 10"/178 cm.
@@hayhead92 and foot size? Thank you
@@hayhead92 and How did the board ride with such a size? Do you think about board Pow nitro? I don’t choose between fintwin and pow))
@@TheOrenShaga I'm size 9 US
Do they really ski short? I'm thinking about M Free 99 but debating between 179 and 185. I was reading somewhere that 185 measures 181.7. I'm approximately 6' and 210 lbs.
Yes, they do. I would typically go 180 but heard the same thing you did and went 185. I'm glad I did.
In this video I'm skiing the 170. Gave them to my son. Too short and too soft at this length. Loved the ski and bought the 185 cm. Skied the 185 a couple of times this season and their perfect for me. 5' 10", 240lbs.
There is about 20% tip and 20% tail rocker on the M Free 99 giving it a powder ski profile. Salomon QST 98 has a similar profile, weight, flex, but even tighter turn radius.
@@hayhead92@hayhead92 Thanks, man, for a quick reply; ordering 185 then !!
@alexalexeev695 Really fun ski! Your going to love it!
Hey where is this located? I'm going to be visiting pg and I won't move unless I can ride.. Biking is everything to me. Thx
These trails are located along Foothills boulevard.
Nice, how do you like the board so far? I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on one
I love it. One of my favorites in my quiver. Very well rounded.
aahhhhhhh soon as i seen the skis.........ahhhhhh Get back on that board Hayhead 100%
Two Planker Wanker.
lol good one ...cheers@@hayhead92
Nice, I am bringing the wife snowboarding for the first time in two weeks. Can't wait!
Oh my word. What an awesome ride in the powder. I felt like I was floating along on that ride. Soooooo nice you had the powder basically to yourself. Great video!!!
Thanks! Hard to beat a good day in the powder.
How skis behave on jets?
Jets? Great soft snow ski. Soft flex. Not great on firm conditions. Has a very surface, smears feel.
Does the skay behave well on the hard track?
No, not very good on firm snow.
Just bought this yesterday! Got the 160, will be here in a few days. Pumped
You should be pumped! It's a powder slayer!!
How’d it go in pow? Get any deeper rides on it?
Not yet, but I'm pretty confident it's going to be good. Hopefully, post some good powder footage of the Banker soon.
The Grelmin some times gets bad reviews in the powder but seemed to do well. What size was the board, weight was the rider and how far back were the bindings set?
The board is 148 cm. Rider is 240 lbs. Bindings set to the narrowest setting. Front foot all the way back. Rear foot all the way forward. Gremlin has pretty decent float.
@@hayhead92 Really appreciated. I have a Gremlin and hope to get some predicted pow in a few weeks. It will be the first time and I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm 185 on a 155, ride similar stance so thank you for the information, it gives me some confidence.👍
@@gregsmith7821 No problem. Really fun board! This particular day wasn't bottomless but I could have set my back foot further back to help keep the nose up if conditions were deeper.
@@gregsmith7821I’m 185 and just got the 158 cm. Let me know how yours goes I’ve seen the mixed reviews too haha. Hoping for the best
@@toshrasmusen2469 I'll try to remember. First chance of powder is in two weeks time. If you haven't heard back in three, give me a nudge.👍 Please also post your results.
Can't even imaging how cool it would be to have that backyard access to the slopes!
It's pretty amazing! Just a small hill but great for testing and dialing in gear before heading to the big hills.
@@hayhead92 what hill is that?
@@awiegwa Hart Ski Hill
what year?!? THANKS FOR SHARING! I’m looking for a snowboard myself and bataleon has my eyes 😁
This is the 2020/2021 model. It's been replaced by the Party Wave Twin.
@@hayhead92 Thank you thank you thank you. 🥲🤘🏾
Difference between this one and the Gremlin? Thx! 👍
Gremlin has a stiffer flex and is wider underfoot. Gremlin is a better carver and has a more aggressive feel. Gremlin has magnatraction edges for better grip on ice. Fin Twin feels more playful and easier to ride.
@@hayhead92 Thx for your fast reply!! 👍👍
You bet!@@2coolforyourdog
